Sad but true. Memories are so precious and without them we are but a shell. My first mother-in-law suffered for many years in a nursing home with dementia. It was like she was there just in body but not in soul.

There is much discussion of mind, soul, life beyond life, etc., all of them include a role for memories, education, intelligence, etc. Once one of these "thieves" intrudes, the biggest struggle becomes how to remember how to remember.

It's hard enough to remember what you never remembered. An interesting subject Perspy. The Hubpages is a good place to remember how to remember.

Seeing Glen Cambell signing his Rinestone Cowboy the other night made me cry. He did a great job, but had to ask the audience to sing the rhinestone line. So clever of him, I love that guy. And love you too.
