Along with the input of members of the CIA Annex Security Team involved, Mitchell Zuckoff, a best selling author and professor at Boston University, has compiled an almost minute by minute account of the tragic heroism of those Americans from the evening of that day, until the morning events of September 12, 2012.

Since the events ended, controversy has ensued as to who knew what when, and who did what where, but this 330 page book, with maps and 73 photographs tells what those brave Americans did in those critical 13 hours when their actions were to determine the fate of dozens of other brave and dedicated Americans.

The attacks on the State Department's Special Mission Compound and the Annex were organized and brutal. That those attacks did not achieve everything they were intended to achieve is a tribute to the dedication and sacrifices of those involved.

This book will live on long after its magnificent American participants pass from the scene. It provides in tragic detail their bravery and dedication to each other, their fellow Americans, and their country.

As Americans, we can all take pride in the fact that such courage and loyalty gave us another tragic 9/11 to remember and regard with respect for all the heroes involved and lost.
